When Administration Portal Single Sign-On is not enabled, administration user passwords are maintained within the Symbee Connect Administration Portal. For security and compliance, you can configure your administration user password strength requirements at a Company level using the Password Settings screen.
Your Company-level Password Settings are accessed within your Symbee Connect Administration Portal, from the Company Administration menu located on the left of the top navigation bar, under Security Settings.
Note: The Security Settings menu option and Password Settings view is only available to Administration Users with a Role of Administrator.
Like Administration Users, Password Settings are Region based. If you have Environments in multiple regions, access the Administration Portal in the appropriate region to view your Company Password Settings in that region.
The following configuration settings are available:
Minimum Password Length
Controls the minimum allowed number of characters in a password.
Maximum Password Length
Controls the maximum allowed number of characters in a password.
Uppercase and Lowercase Required
Controls whether passwords require both uppercase and lowercase characters. This setting in now forced enabled.
Controls whether passwords require numbers as well as characters. This setting in now forced enabled.
Special Characters Required
Controls whether passwords require special characters (characters beyond 0-9 and A-Z).
Restrict using Recent Previous Passwords
Controls whether new passwords can be the same as recent previously used passwords.
Maximum Failed Login Attempts
Controls the number of failed login attempts before the user account becomes locked.
Password Expiry Days
The number of days before automatic password expiry occurs, and the user is prompted to change their password. A value of 0 (zero) disables automatic password expiry.
