What's New

  1. New Symbee Connect Supervisor feature to allow User/Agent Routing Profile assignment updates

    • New access-controlled functionality is added to the Symbee Connect Supervisor UI to allow Supervisors the ability to change the currently assigned Amazon Connect Routing Profile on users/agents visible to them in their Supervisor UI directly, without having to use the Amazon Connect Console or Symbee Connect Administration Portal.
    • Two new settings are added to the Supervisor section of User Templates and User profiles in the Symbee Connect Administration Portal:

      • Allow Connect Routing Profile Assignment Updates: Controls whether the Supervisor can change the Amazon Connect Routing Profile assigned to users within their visible hierarchy.
      • Connect Routing Profile Assignment Filter: Controls which Amazon Connect Routing Profiles the Supervisor is allowed to select from and assign to users within their visible hierarchy.
    • A new third Assignments tab is added to the Symbee Connect Supervisor User/Agent UI, only visible when the Allow Connect Routing Profile Assignment Updates setting above is enabled for the supervisor, and only visible on the "popped out" Supervisor window.

    • Which users the Supervisor is allowed to see and update is based on the previously existing Limit User View by Reporting Hierarchy Supervisor setting. When limited to hierarchy, the Supervisor will only see users from the level in their hierarchy and lower (and therefore is restricted to only updating those users). Additionally (only when limited to hierarchy) the Supervisor is also allowed to view and update users in their hierarchy that are not currently signed in. Note: If the Supervisor is not set to limit by hierarchy, the Supervisor will only be able to see and update currently signed in users - this is intentional.
    • All updates made by Supervisors are lodged in Change History to allow tracking and search of Supervisor update actions in the Audit Change History view in the Symbee Connect Administration Portal.
  2. Amazon Connect Quick Responses now supported in Symbee Connect User/Agent UI

    • Quick Responses configured within your Amazon Connect instance are now displayed and available for use within the Auto Text Tool within the Symbee Connect User/Agent UI.
    • All existing Symbee Connect Auto Text functionality remains the same and is available for use in the User/Agent UI based on existing mappings of Queues to Auto Text Groups.
    • The Auto Text Tool gets augmented with an additional Connect Quick Responses text group containing any Quick Responses associated with the Routing Profile of the user in Amazon Connect.
    • Quick Response text can be used in any Chat or Email based Interaction (whether it is Symbee-Delivered or Amazon-Delivered) when servicing the interactions in the Symbee Connect User/Agent UI.
  3. Amazon Connect Message Templates now supported in Symbee Connect User/Agent UI

    • Email Message Templates configured within your Amazon Connect instance are now displayed and available for use within the Auto Text Tool within the Symbee Connect User/Agent UI when servicing Email interactions.
    • All existing Symbee Connect Auto Text functionality remains the same and is available for use in the User/Agent UI based on existing mappings of Queues to Auto Text Groups.
    • The Auto Text Tool gets augmented with an additional Connect Message Templates text group containing any Email Message Templates associated with the Routing Profile of the user in Amazon Connect.
  4. New Email Channel updates to allow use of Symbee Email Signatures in Amazon Connect delivered Email

    • Functionality is added to the Symbee Connect User/Agent UI to enable Symbee Connect Email Signatures to be used when agents respond to Email interactions sent via the Amazon Connect delivered Email Channel.
    • Signature functionality is identical when servicing Symbee or Amazon Connect delivered email, and can include both the User-part (configured on individual User profiles and updatable in the Settings tool in the User/Agent UI) and the Email Configuration signature-part configured in the Symbee Connect Administration Portal.
    • The Email Configuration view under Email on the Channels menu in the Symbee Connect Administration Portal has been updated to also support the (optional) definition of Email Addresses being serviced via your Amazon Connect instance (previously this view only had Email Addresses associated with PARTER_NAME-delivered email).
    • To enable Symbee Connect Signatures for Amazon Connect Email, add a new Email Configuration definition in the Administration Portal that exactly matches the associated email address being used and configured in your Amazon Connect instance. The Symbee Connect Administration Portal will detect the Email Configuration is Amazon Delivered and provides you with the associated settings for configuring the Symbee Connect Email Signature functionality for the Amazon Connect delivered email address.
    • Note: (Intentionally, by default) If there is no Email Configuration defined in the Symbee Connect Administration Portal for an Email address being delivered through Amazon Connect, Symbee Connect Email signatures are disabled for emails via that address.
